How to Submit ONSIS File

 

This screen produces either of the following batch files to be submitted to OnSIS:

Board Educator assignment updates

Elementary School  assignment updates

Secondary School Educator assignment updates

Care and Treatment assignment updates

 

Educators are identified by a Ministry Educator Number (MEN) which is a unique identifier assigned to all board and school level educators (eg.  Teachers, Principals, etc...) in the province of Ontario. It is used to facilitate the collection of educator assignment data at both board and school level. The MEN replaces the use of the Social Insurance Number (SIN) by the Ministry of Education.

Boards are required to provide this submission to OnSIS no later than October 31st, March 31st and June 30th (or the last day of school) of each year.  Educator administration data can be updated in real-time, any time during the year in the OnSIS application. 

 

Use the following steps to Submit the ONSIS File:

 

          1. Click on Board Control

 

          2. Click on ONSIS Report

          

          3. Click on ONSIS Submission

 

          

          

 

          4. Select a Submission Period Type  value

          5. Select an ONSIS Location Type  value

          6. Select a School Number value (If applicable) (Consult the user guides for more information about each field).

          7. Click on the Submit button to Generate the Submission File
