Step 2: Compiling the List

The compiling process will search students for matches with the information that you have specified

Unless you accept the Include Students Registered defaults, indicate the groups of students to be considered before starting the compiling process. The schools that you want to include in the search will also need to be specified.

Selecting the Included Students

In the Include Students Registered frame, there are four groups of students on the screen, representing different enrolment statuses:

Both This and Next Year: Students presently attending this school and planning to attend this school next year.

This Year Only (Not Returning): Students presently attending this school, and not planning to attend this school next year.

Next Year Only: Students planning to attend this school next year

Deleted: Students no longer attending this school.

The Inquiry program always defaults so that the Both This and Next Year and This Year Only (Not Returning) students are included in the search.

Selecting the Included Schools

Central Office System: Click Schools and a list of schools will appear. You can specify the schools included in the search. When you have made your selections click OK.   In the include students with which home school, click This School, and/ or Another School (concurrent).  Concurrent means a student is registered at another school as well.

Secondary/Elementary/Prelude Administration System: In the include students with which home school, click This School, and/ or Another School (concurrent).   Concurrent means a student is registered at another school as well.

Starting the Compilation

Click the Compile button to start the process. If you haven't already saved the list you will be asked to save it first. The Inquiry program will examine each student to determine specified criterion (or criteria) matches.
