Printing Transcripts on Laser Printers

If the transcripts are to be printed on a laser printer, a printer description can be set up using File, Printer Descriptions (DOS). By selecting a "undefined" printer, you must first enter a title for the new printer settings (e.g. Laser - Transcripts). Then you can enter the following codes:

Leader: {27}E{27}&l1o2a6d2e47F{27}(10U{27}&k0S

Trailer: {27}E

Form Feed: {12}

All other settings should be blank.

Press Escape when the settings are complete.

Note: These codes must be entered exactly as shown. For example, l1o is a lower case "L", the number 1, then a lower case "o". These codes are for a laser printer that emulates an HP laser printer. If they do not work for your printer, contact Maplewood.

This printer setting may then be selected anytime you print a transcript using File, Printer Descriptions (DOS) and selecting Select Printer Description For Output.

Notes: You will need to switch the printer description for output back to what you normally use in Maplewood when you finish printing transcripts (this would be IBM ProPrinter unless you have created another one for regular laser printing). Remember to enter 47 for the number of lines on the page.
