Manitoba EIS Hints

The Bureau de l'education française offers these helpful, time saving hints for users of EIS Collection in schools offering the Français or French Immersion programs, as well as French courses within the English program:

1. Schools having levels K to 8 should work first on the BEF K-8 Classroom Module before working on their Teacher Activity because there is a feature that allows the moving of BEF activities directly to Teacher Activity thus saving a lot of work. These school should also include all teachers to the Français or French Immersion or French classes even if they teach courses in English, such as: ELA, Music, Art, Industrial Arts, Home Economics, etc. However, please make sure that the correct subject code and language of instruction are selected for each course.

2. Français and French Immersion schools having grades 9, 10, 11 or 12 should include all courses in the Course Registration file; that is, both first and second semester courses, as well as courses taught in English. Again, please make sure that the correct subject code and language of instruction are selected for each course.
