Assign Advisor Group

This option is used to place students in an Advisor Group that you have set up under File, School Setup, Advisor Group.  To assign student to an Advisor Group, choose Students, Assign Advisor Groups.  You have a choice of four assigning methods:

Sequential By Grade

  1. Select the grade.

  2. Make your selections from the left column and click Add to place them in the Selected Advisors column. If you wish to remove advisors, select from the right column and click Remove.

  3. Select either Alternate Through Students of Assign Sections of Alphabet.

  4. As an option, you can choose to Allow Overloading Advisor Group (e.g. if you have allowed 30 students per advisor group, the overload allows the user to add students to the group in excess of 30 students).

  5. Click Assign.

 

In A Specific Class

  1. Select a Class from the list.

  2. Select an Advisor from the list.

  3. As an option, you can choose to Allow Overloading Advisor Group (e.g. if you have allowed 30 students per advisor group, the overload allows the user to add students to the group in excess of 30 students).

  4. Click Assign.

 

Transfer

  1. Select a Source from the list. Choose This or Next Year's Advisor.
  2. Select a Destination from the list.
  3. As an option, you can choose to Allow Overloading Advisor Group (e.g. if you have allowed 30 students per advisor group, the overload allows the user to add students to the group in excess of 30 students).
  4. Click Transfer.

 

Individual Assignment

  1. Select students by Grade or Homeroom.

  2. Select a Grade from the list.

  3. Click Assign.
