How to Load/Publish/Submit/Apply Assignments
At the bottom of the screen, the following processes can be run:
•Load Assignments: This is the first step in the process. It ‘loads’ all of the assignment records that exist based on the Staffing Category and Effective Date you have chosen. These are the records used as a starting point in the staffing process.
•Publish Assignments: This process will take all assignments that are loaded and visible in Screen Element 4 and make them available to users to view, modify and add to on the K212 Portal. Assignments are not visible on the K212 Portal unless they have been Published.
•Submit Assignments: Once all staffing assignments have been verified, modified or added, they need to be submitted. Assignments can be submitted in one of two ways:
- Administrators can SUBMIT assignments through the K212 Portal.
- HR Staff can SUBMIT assignments through the Staffing Assignment Maintenance Screen by selecting Submit Assignments in Screen Element 5. It is recommended you always run processes in Trial Mode first, then review the reports before running in Update Mode.
•Apply Assignments: This is the last step of the process and will apply any changes that were done in Step 4 to the database. If applicable, new assignment records will be created, or updated. See user guide for each screen for full details.
