How to Add/Modify OTIP Deduction Codes

 

This screen is used to add or modify Deduction Codes. Deduction Codes used throughout the system are verified against this table.

 

Use the following steps to Add/Modify Deduction Codes:

 

          1. Click on Payroll

          2. Click on Board

          3. Click on Deduction Codes

          

          

          4. Click the Find button at top of the menu bar to see all records in the database.

          

          5. If K212 HRP dialog box displays, click Yes to continue.

          

          6. Select a current Deduction Code to modify or Select New at the top of the menu screen to add a new code

          

          

          7. Enter a unique Deduction Code value (i.e DENTAL) (Consult the user guides for more information OTIP relevant Codes)

          8. Enter a unique  Description value (i.e DENTAL)

          9. Enter a unique Abbreviation value (i.e DEN)

          10. Select a Status value (i.e ACTIVE)

          11. Enter in any other relevant information on the screen (If applicable) (Consult the user guides for more information about each field)

          12. Click the Save button to save your changes
