How to Use DB Import

 

Use the following  steps to import data:

 

1. Click on the System tab, click DB Import, and select one of the following options: A/R Account Import, A/R Invoice Import, Budget Import, G/L Account Dictionary Import, G/L Alias Dictionary Import, G/L Import, Invoice Import, Journal Voucher Import, Payroll Import, Purchase Order (Summary) Import, Requisition Import.

 

2. Click on the Setting List drop-down menu to select an option.

 

Note: Click on the Modify Setting hyperlink to modify the selected setting. Refer to How to Modify an Import Setting for more information on this process.

 

3. In the Import File section, click on the Browse button. The file explorer will display.

 

4. Select a document to import. Click on the OK button. The file name will display

 

5. If applicable, enter any further information that may apply.

 

Note: Options differ based on the sub-module selected. Refer to the sub-module hyperlinks in DB Import for more detailed information regarding search criteria.

 

6. If applicable, click on the Data Preview button to view the first few rows of the import file as they are parsed by the import routine.

 

 

7. If applicable, click on the Preliminary Report button to have the system analyze the entire import file for valid data. Any lines containing invalid data will appear below.

 

8. Click on the Save button.

 

9. Click on the Process button to process immediately, or click on the Schedule button to select a date for the new chart of accounts to be processed.

 

Note: Click on the Clear button to remove all input information and reset the fields to their default values.

 

If

Then

Process is selected.

1. The new chart of accounts will process and the New Chart of Accounts process is complete.

Schedule is selected.

1. In the Schedule Job dialog box, click on the calendar icon to enter the Start Date.

 

 

2. Enter the time of day, using the chevrons to change the time.

 

3. Click on the Schedule button, or click on the Cancel button to return to the previous screen.

 

 

10. If applicable, to print a report, click on the Print Report button.
