The Course Tally lists all the courses available for the selected grade (or all grades). The number of students who have chosen the course is printed beside each course code. At the bottom of the list, the total number of students who will be in the school next year, the total number of choices, and the number of basic, general, and advanced choices are printed. To print a course tally, choose Scheduling, Print Students’ Choices, and click Print Course Tally. This print-out is used to decide how many sections (classes) there will be of each course and which courses will not be offered due to not enough requests. The Tally includes Mandatory and Electives, not Alternatives.
The number of students requesting each course may also be viewed by looking at the scheduling Courses File. Choose Scheduling, Modify Files, Courses. Look at the "Req." column to see the number of students who requested this course.
Enter an asterisk (*) for a list of all scheduling courses and how many students have chosen each course or Specify a particular grade to see a list of scheduling courses of that grade and how many students of any grade have chosen each course. When specifying a particular grade, the program considers the grade field in the Courses file, not the 4th character position.
The tally also includes the following information:
