How to Activate/Deactivate an A/R Account

 

Deactivating is a soft delete of an Accounts Receivable (A/R) account. This means the account will still be visible in the grid, however the status will show Inactive. Deactivating an account will prohibit any further transactions from being entered to that account.

 

Activating an inactive A/R account will change the status of the account to Active. The account will be available to have transactions placed on it while in this status.

 

Use the following steps to activate or deactivate an Accounts Receivable account:

 

1. Click on the Business tab, click Accounts Receivable, and select A/R Account Management.

 

2. If applicable, enter the Account Number.

 

 

3. Click on the Search button. All related results will display in the grid.

 

Note: If necessary, perform an advanced search. Refer to Advanced Search for more information on this section.

 

 

4. Click on the Action drop-down menu beside the corresponding A/R account and select Activate or Deactivate.

 

NoteActivate action will be available when A/R account Status is InactiveDeactivate action will be available when A/R account Status is Active.

5. Enter a note in the Note field.

 

                    

 

          6. Click on the OK button or click on the Cancel button to cancel the Activate or Deactivate process.
