How to Delete an A/R Account

 

The complete deletion of an account will remove the account from the grid and permanently delete the account from the database. Deleting an account is allowed only if there are no transactions against that account. If there are outstanding transactions the Delete option will not be available to select in the Actions drop-down menu. Inquiries on a deleted account will display no search results in the grid.

 

Use the following steps to delete an A/R account:

 

1. Click on the Business tab, click Accounts Receivable, and select A/R Account Management.

 

2. If applicable, enter the Account Number.

 

 

3. Click on the Search button. All related results will display in the grid.

 

Note: If necessary, perform an advanced search. Refer to Advanced Search for more information on this section.

 

 

4. Click on the Action drop-down menu beside the corresponding A/R account and select Delete.

 

Note: Delete action will be disabled for vendors with existing transactions.

 

 

 

          5. Enter a note in the Note field.

 

          

 

          6. Click on the OK button or click on the Cancel button to cancel the delete process.
