A/R account information may be updated as required. Once the customer account number has been assigned, it cannot be changed. The account number would have to be deleted and the A/R account added with the new number.
Use the following steps to modify an A/R account:
1. Click on the Business tab, click Accounts Receivable, and select A/R Account Management.
2. If applicable, enter the Account Number.
3. Click on the Search button. All related results will display in the grid.
Note: If necessary, perform an advanced search. Refer to Advanced Search for more information on this section.
4. Click on the Action drop-down menu beside the corresponding A/R account and select Modify.
5. If applicable, in the A/R Account Edit screen, update the Account Name.
The Vendor Number field cannot be edited.
6. If applicable, to update, click on the Type drop-down menu to select an option.
7. If applicable, to update, click on the Tax Code drop-down menu to select an option.
8. If applicable, update Address 1.
9. If applicable, update Address 2.
10. If applicable, update the City.
11. If applicable, to update, click on the Country drop-down menu to select an option. Canada is selected by default.
12. If applicable, to update, click on the Province drop-down menu to select an option. ON (Ontario) is selected by default.
13. If applicable, update the Postal/Zip Code and/or Postal/Zip Code Ext.
14. If applicable, update the Contact.
15. If applicable, in the Preferred Method section, select any one of the following radio buttons and enter the corresponding information: Email, Fax or Hard Copy (selected by default).
16. If applicable, enter the Phone number and Ext.
17. If applicable, enter Comments.
18. If applicable, select/deselect any of the following selection boxes: Statement Required and/or Miscellaneous.
19. Enter a note in the New Note field.
Note: Notes entered in this field will be saved and may be viewed in the Notes History section and are read-only.
20. If applicable, in the Documents section, update existing files or upload new files by clicking on the corresponding tab.
