How to Modify Stock

 

Use the following steps to modify a stock item:

 

1. Click on the Business tab, click Stock, and select Stock Management.

 

2. Enter a partial or full Stock Number, or click on the Search By Vendor button.

 

Note: Refer to How to use Vendor Search for more information on how to use this feature.

 

 

3. Click on the Search button.

 

Note: If necessary, perform an advanced search. Refer to Advanced Search for more information on this section.

 

 

4. Click on the Action drop-down menu beside the corresponding stock item and select Modify.

 

 

Note: The Stock Number field cannot be edited.

 

5. If applicable, in the Modify Stock screen, update the Stock Group.

 

Note: To remove the Stock Group information, click on the Delete button.  

 

 

6. If applicable, in the Applicable Tax section, update any of the following fields : Discount, HST, Unused and/or Other by clicking on the drop-down menu and selecting an option.

 

7. If applicable, click on the Select Image button to add or update the stock item image.

 

Note: To remove the image, click on the Remove button.

 

8. If applicable, to update, click on the Buyer Code drop-down menu to select an option.

 

9. If applicable, click on the calendar icon to update the Issue Date.

 

9.  If applicable, click on the calendar icon to update the Date Received.

 

10. If applicable, update the Purchase Measure.

 

11. If applicable, update the Issue Measure.

 

12. If applicable, update the E.O.Q. (Economic Order Quantity).

 

13. If applicable, update the Last Purchase Price.

The price the goods were purchased at.

 

14. If applicable, update the This Issue Price.

The This Issue Price may be system calculated, once all other data has been updated. Otherwise, enter the price at which these items will be issued.

 

15. If applicable, update the Next Issue Price.

The Next Issue Price may be recorded so that a global update can occur when necessary.

 

16. If applicable, update the Brand Description.

 

17. If applicable, update the Catalogue Description.

 

18. If applicable, update the Product Description.

 

19. If applicable, update the Internal Notes.

 

20. If applicable, in the Attributes sections, click on the Edit Attributes button to update the stock attributes.

Then

Edit Attributes button is selected

1. In the Stock Attributes dialog box, add, update or remove any of the Category names or Attribute names. Use the Edit button to make changes or use the Delete button to remove category or attribute.

 

 

3. Click on the Accept button.

 

4. Proceed to Step 21.

If Edit Attributes is NOT selected

1. Proceed to Step 21.

 

21. If applicable, select or deselect the Work Management Type selection box.

 

22. If applicable, in the Tender Information section, update the Tender Number.

 

 

23. If applicable, update the Vendor Number or click on the Search By Vendor button.

24. If applicable, update the Price.

 

25. If applicable, click on the calendar icon to update the Tender Expiry Date.

 

Note: In the Previous Vendor History section, all vendor history will be displayed in the grid.

 

 

26. If applicable, in the Attachments section, update existing files or upload new files by clicking on the corresponding tab.

27. Enter a note in the New Note field.

 

Note: Notes entered in this field will be saved and may be viewed in the Notes History section and are read-only.

 

28. Click on the Save button, or click on the Cancel button to return to the Stock Management screen without saving changes.
