Account Type

The Account Types tab displays the different types of accounts within accounts receivable.

When initially adding a customer account, the user must identify the type from a drop down list. The list displays the contents of the A/R Account Type profile.

Generally, these type codes relate to the invoice process and the reason for the customer account, such as: employee benefits, rentals of school gymnasiums, as well as defining if the account is an actual accounts receivable account, or a miscellaneous account.
