The manual navigation will help the user better understand how to navigate through the manual. Using the manual options to the fullest potential will increase efficiency, when using the application and ensure all the information provided is being absorbed in a meaningful way.
To begin, the K212 Finance Manual has five (5) main sections:

•Getting Started- This section will provide a broad overview of the system, including: the purpose of the application and manual, how to sign in and out, information on the homepage, where to get help within the application and how to use areas in the application such as Notifications and the User Account options.
•Application Basics- This section will provide an explanation on fields, messages and search grids and how to use them, as they are used throughout the application.
•General Functions- This sections will provide 'how to' processes for buttons and features common to most areas of the application. For example, uploading a file, using the Export To button, selecting/releasing a batch and different dialog box search functionalities (Purchase Order,G/L, Stock Vendor).
•Processes- This section will provide end to end processes and work flows. Some processes within the K212 Finance Application require users to use various modules and submodules to complete a task from beginning to end (i.e. Requisition to Cheque, which includes four (4) different modules). Although these processes may not be completed end to end by an individual user, understanding where the user is in the process and what comes next can provide some insight into how long things will take to complete or who to reach out to for the next step in the process.
•Modules- This section includes the Business and System topic of the application and will provide information for each module, submodule and feature within those areas. Within the submodule will be 'how to' options on the functionality of each action, group action or button available.
Hyperlink Navigation
Throughout the manual hyperlinks will be available for the user to find what they are looking for with ease. Use the hyperlinks to get access to other processes/sections, further information, next steps or return to previous processes. Hyperlinks are also used to return back to the top of the page with the Back to top hyperlink. Hyperlinks will appear coloured in blue and underlined. These hyperlinks allow the user to execute a process as smoothly as possible while getting all the details they need and information on other processes that are intertwined throughout.
Many processes include other processes or general functions within them. By clicking on those hyperlinks the user will be taken out of that current process and brought to another. If the hyperlink is regarding a general function, an option will be available to bring you back to the previous process being worked on (See Example Below).
Example:
1. The user is working on How to Create a Requisition and in the Miscellaneous Requisition section, on Step 16 and they do not know how to use the G/L Search Wizard feature. The user can click on the How to Use G/L Search Wizard hyper link to be brought to that process and get more information.

2. Once the user has completed the How to Use G/L Search Wizard process and option at the bottom of the process, it will be available to go back to the process that was being worked by clicking on the specific title of the previous process from the list. This will return the user to the next step in that process.
Note: Some general functions or processes in the list will have the same name but extra information as well (i.e. How to Create a Requisition- Miscellaneous Requisition and How to Create a Requisition- Review). This is because the option to select a G/L appears in the How to Create a Requisition process more then once and to ensure the user is being brought back to the next step in the process, they need to click the correct option. In this case, the user will select How to Create a Requisition- Miscellaneous Requisition.

3. The user has now been brought to the next step in sequence and can continue to go through the How to Create a Requisition process.
