Search grids are used frequently throughout the K212 Finance Application, to organize data. There are a number of ways to manipulate the data within the columns to suit the needs of the user. Sometimes data will be pre-populated in the grid when the user selects a module, other times, the user will need to use the search or advanced search functions to find particular data.
Options for manipulating search grid data are:
1.Sorting
2.Resizing
These numbers correspond to the numbers displayed in the screenshot below.

The user can sort the data in the grid by clicking on any column. An arrow will display within the column selected, and the arrow will show in the direction the information has been sorted, either ascending or descending order. click on the column again to reverse the order. A third click will disable sorting.

The user can resize the data in the grid by hovering between any two column, then clicking and sliding the cursor left or right to make the column smaller or larger. This allows the user to view all the information that is displayed in that column or allow more room for other columns to be seen.

If some of the information provided in the grid is not relevant, the user can click on the Actions button on the far right corner of the grid and select columns to been hidden. The user can select and deselect any of the options provided, in the drop-down menu. Those columns selected will show a check mark

When information is populated in the grid many areas may show hyperlinks (any information in blue) for the user to select. When a hyperlink is selected, the user will be able to see more information related to the selection they have chosen. The inquire screen will be read-only, but may have other hyperlinks for further inquiry. The inquire screen may also provide the option for the user to print, this can be done by clicking the Print button at the bottom of the screen. Otherwise, click Close to return to the grid information. (See below example- Not all inquire screens will look the same as the example shown.)

The user can use the Page Size drop-down menu to increase or decrease the amount of data seen on one page (defaulted to 10). They can also use the arrows to go to the next page, or to the first page or last page of data.

To clear all the data within the grid, click on the Clear All button. This will allow the user to begin looking for new data with the search, or advanced search features.
