The information bar displays (from the left) the K212 Finance logo and the current version of the application, the school board name and the year and period the user is signed in to. On the right hand side, there are three icons: Notifications, Help and User Account with the signed in User Name. For further information regarding those icons, click on the associated hyperlink.
To return to the Dashboard screen from anywhere in the application, you can click on the K212 Finance logo and the Dashboard screen will display.
The Menu Pane houses all of the modules and sub-modules, within the application. The modules are organized in three tabs: Business (selected by default), System, and Favourites.
To access any of the modules, select a menu option icon, then select the relevant module displayed below the menu tab. The sub-modules will be displayed and the user can click on the sub-module to display the associated screen (See below for step by step example). When the chevron icon within that module is pointing downward, all sub-modules are displayed. By clicking the module again, the chevron will point to the right and the module will collapse all sub-modules.
Note: All modules and sub-modules may not display, based on user security settings.

The Business tab contains the modules which provide the functionality for day to day business operations (i.e. purchase stock items, or create an invoice etc.).
The System tab contains the modules related to system administration, which are not used on a daily basis (i.e. accounting settings, user security, import/export functionality etc.).
Note: The System tab may not be available to all users, based on the user settings.
In the Favourites tab, the user can add any sub-modules that are used frequently or are important. This allows the user to have the modules easily accessible for convenience purposes, at any time. To add a sub-module to the Favourites tab, click on the star beside the sub-module. This will automatically add the sub-module to the Favourites tab and the star will be highlighted in gold.

To remove a sub-module from the Favourites tab, return to the sub-module in the menu pane and click on the gold star. The gold star will become an outline and the sub-module will be removed from the Favourites.

At the top right of the Dashboard (4) is a Settings icon for the G/L Account Number, and a chevron to hide/minimize the Dashboard. To maximize the Dashboard and see the graph and grid, click on the chevron icon again.
Note: Permission to change the G/L Account Number is based on the user security settings.
