How to Activate/Deactivate a Commodity Code

Use the following steps to activate or deactivate a commodity code:

1. Click on the System tab, click Code Management, and select Commodity Code.

Note: When accessing the Commodity Code Management screen, all active commodity codes will be auto-populated and displayed in the grid. If necessary, perform a commodity code search.For step by step instructions, refer to How to Search for a Commodity Code for more information on this process. 

2. Click on the Action drop-down menu beside the corresponding commodity code and select Activate or Deactivate.

Note: Activate action will be available when commodity code Status is Inactive. Deactivate action will be available when commodity code Status is Active.

3. Enter a note in the Note field.

          4. Click on the OK button to confirm and finalize, or click on the Cancel button to cancel the Activate or Deactivate process.
