How to Create a G/L Group Using the Copy Feature

 

Use the following steps to create a G/L group using the copy feature:

 

1. Click on the Business tab, click General Ledger, and select G/L Groups.

 

2. If applicable, in the G/L Accounts Group Management screen, enter a Group Name.

 

 

3. If applicable, click on the Group Type drop-down menu to select an option.

 

4. If applicable, click on the Deployment Method drop-down menu to select an option.

 

5. Click on the Search button.

 

6. Click on the Action drop-down menu beside the corresponding G/L account and select Copy.

 

 

7. In the General section, enter a Group Name.

 

 

8. In the Group Type section, select on of the following radio buttons: Dynamic or Static.

 

9. If applicable, click on the Deployment Method to select an alternative option.

 

10. If applicable, click on the Deployed To drop-down menu to select one or more options. Use the Search field to enter specific information, use the Select All button to select all available options or use the Select None button to remove all selected options.

Dynamic is selected in the Group Type field.

1. In the Search by G/L Alias Dictionary section, under the Account Elements and Alias Elements sections, click on the drop-down menu beside the corresponding element to select one or more options. Use the Search field to enter specific information, use the Select All button to select all available options or use the Select None button to remove all selected options.

 

Note: The Alias Elements section can vary in what elements display based on the settings the school and/or board provides.

 

 

2. Click on the Search button.

 

3. Click on the Save button or click on the Cancel button to cancel the copy process.

Static is selected in the Group Type field.

1. Click on the New button to add G/Ls one at a time or click on the Add Multiple G/Ls button to add multiple G/Ls at once.

 

Note: The New button can be selected to add as many G/L accounts as necessary.

1. In the Account column, enter the G/L account or click on the Search icon to search for a G/L Account for all line items.

Note: All selected G/L accounts will display in the grid.

 

Click on the Delete icon to remove a line item.

 

12. Click on the Save button or click on the Cancel button to cancel the copy process.
